We have lived together for about a month. He is incredibly busy. He is a Cancer and I am a Virgo/Libra (born on cusp) so I naturally want to be nurturing and he naturally wants the motherly type as a mate. So I cook etc and worry about him. I definitely like him and show that I care in subtle non creepy ways. He talks to me about other girls and vice versa we give each other advice and we've realized we're both in the exact same phase of romance. We don't like anyone/we're super picky. We pick on each other constantly/make sexual jokes. He looks down/sad every time I tell him I can't go parties with him on the weekends. He likes to keep an eye on me at parties. His schooling takes up a huge majority of his life and lately he's been gone from 9am to sometimes 3 or 4am I don't know if he's trying to APPEAR busy or if he really is. I wanted to have a guy over and I asked him some questions about his schedule, because the other guy would feel weird he said. My roommate then questioned me about who I was bringing w crossed arms etc. I had diff guy here for 2 days roomie disappeared and came home shortly after he left. I've never seen another girl here. We had a third roommate and when he left we both admitted that we were happier with it just being us two. In the beginning he told me that if he liked a girl that he wouldn't tell her but then at a party I saw him randomly kiss some girl that he liked, then he admitted that he thought she was attractive. I always play the friend role/passive when it comes to that, I tell him my honest opinion and tell him what I think he should do to snag her. However it always comes back to: "I'm just way too picky" we're both that way... we talk about everything and recently we started talking about sexual preferences but I don't know if it's just because he's comfortable with me or what. When we talk we do for a long time, we talk about everything. He has told me some pretty deep stuff about himself and is very open to telling me all about his love life. But he does that w a few people... I really really really like him, and I know it's not lust or a crush, he's amazing and I've told him that. I just don't know if I should tell him or wait for him. I don't know if he's just really friendly/flirty or if he likes me. He doesn't show many signs that he likes me though. He doesn't go out of his way to do anything...(not that I notice) he's only asked me once how my day went. Our conversations normally start because I start them... I guess maybe I should wait for him to come to me with convos? IDK... I bug him a lot but he doesn't mind it at all he says. He procrastinates a lot on his work so that's when he will talk to me for an hour at a time. I don't know what to think or what information is relevant. Every sign can be a yes or a no. What do you guys think? Could it be that I'm just a female that lives w him and he watches over me naturally? He really likes taking me to parties **So freakin' confused it's not funny

Update: ...we don't want to ruin it nor are we actually READY to take the next step ANYWAY... today we also talked about his next semester in NYC and how I could go or stay and keep the apartment for when he is done and he comes back.
