What does it mean when my crush's friends stare and whisper about me? Are they making fun of me?

I've been talking to this guy for a couple of weeks at college. I went up and talked to him, but we are friends.. Even though I think we both know I have a crush on him, and I think he at least finds me attractive. I met one of his roommates the other night, and last night I was walking by his roommate and his other roommate and a couple of other of his friends and they were staring at me, and as I walked by and passed them, they were whispering? And I turned around and one was looking back at me while talking.

i feel like they're making fun of me or something.. Does it mean my crush talks about me?

They were probably having a conversation you wouldn't approve of, it's unlikely it was about you but you were around and they were wary of you hearing them talk about they gay sex they're all going to have later. bahahahahah
