How many people do you think are currently in hell?

None are there yet until the White Throne Judgement. The first 2 residents will be the antichrist and the false prophet. The 3rd will be Satan. Then everyone else dogpiles on them for misleading them into believing there was no God. Hell is much more worse than the worst part of Earth. There is either tormenting you for eternity or being cast into the outer darkness where you will see no one and be by yourself through eternity. The Bible mentions both. Your life on Earth, no matter how much it sucks, is a paradise compared to either of those two options.
@Daniela1982 That last part... preach sister!
I imagine roughly the same amount of people in Heaven
I don't believe in heaven or hell. That's some shit humans made up. It made everyone "god-fearing". It encouraged everyone to do all the acts that are considered to good to be accepted into heaven, and if you do negative things, then you go to hell. It was an excellent means of controlling people in a time of chaos and lack of morality. It was certainly a scholar or group of scholars that came up with it. And yes... they had the same ideas worldwide because human thoughts and behaviours have patterns.
I will simply say this. I think that it is very many. I don't know how many, who specifically, or why. All we are told in the Gospels is that the path that leads to death is wide and easy and those who travel it are many.
strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Currently unknown, but Hell is not what the question assumes.
"In the debate surrounding the nature of Hell, a thorough examination of Scriptures reveals a perspective that Hell symbolizes everlasting destruction rather than perpetual torment. This view is supported by various scriptural passages that offer a nuanced understanding of the concept.
The term "Sheol" in Hebrew and "Hades" in Greek, often translated as "Hell," do not align with the contemporary notion of a place of eternal suffering. Instead, "Sheol" refers to a general place of the dead, akin to a waiting area, and "Hades" to a temporary place of punishment awaiting final judgment. This distinction highlights that the biblical view of Hell is more complex than mere physical torment, it includes the ultimate destruction of the individual.
Ecclesiastes 9:5,10 provides insight into this understanding, stating, "For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing; they have no further reward, and even their name is forgotten. ... Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom." This passage suggests that death is a state of non-existence, countering the notion of conscious suffering after death and supporting the concept of total destruction.
Similarly, 2 Thessalonians 1:9 speaks to the finality of this destruction, "They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might." The term "everlasting destruction" emphasizes a permanent end rather than continuous torment.
In Matthew 10:28, the concept of the soul's destruction is further elaborated: "Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell." This verse indicates that the soul can be destroyed, suggesting an end to existence rather than eternal suffering.
The imagery in Malachi 4:1 reinforces this perspective: "Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble, and the day that is coming will set them on fire," says the LORD Almighty. "Not a root or a branch will be left to them." This portrayal of complete burning and destruction aligns with the concept of total annihilation.
Revelation 20:14-15 introduces the notion of the "second death," where "death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire." This "second death" suggests a final end, not a continuation in a state of torment.
Lastly, Psalm 37:20 provides a vivid image of the wicked's fate: "But the wicked will perish: The LORD's enemies will be like the beauty of the fields, they will vanish—vanish like smoke." The analogy of vanishing like smoke conveys the idea of complete disappearance or destruction.
Incorporating these passages into the debate about Hell's nature highlights that the scriptural evidence leans more towards the view of Hell as the absolute and final destruction of the soul rather than a place of eternal torment. This interpretation underscores the seriousness of divine judgment and the ultimate consequences of rejecting the path of righteousness, urging believers to reflect deeply on their spiritual journey and the choices they make." - https://pixibible.org/post/Hell%20what%20is%20it.html
None, since I don't believe in it.
If I were religious, then I don't think Hell exists where it's fire and torture. It'd probably just be pure nothingness like before we were born, since you are separated from God. That's my take on it anyway.
The Norwegian village Hell has just over 1500 citizens, Hell in Michigan (USA) not even 300 citizens.
I just figured they’ll all in the ground until judgement day? Then they’ll be resurrected and put into their new homes. Is that not correct?
If they’re saved their soul will go to heaven, but if they’re not then their soul goes to hell. I suggest you read up some on it. Revelations is a good start.
But I’m saying is, why would they be in heaven or hell already if judgement day hasn’t happened? Wouldn’t they already know where they’ll be going when it does come around?
I’ll get back to you on this.
IMHO, nobody is YET in Hell. It won't be until the 2nd Coming of Jesus Christ, when all people are judged and sent to their respective destinations. Unfortunately, I believe the vast majority of people, both currently alive, and those no longer alive, will find themselves going where they never dreamed they would go.
They will be cursing themselves for eternity because they never looked into it or believed in it. Heaven is not like people think it will be. "Heaven" - by Randy Alcorn.
y'all realize that the christian world is catching on to the fact that there is no hell of fire and brimstone right? There never was. It's all mistranlsations and such.
mistranslation? you think bible colleges don't teach greek?
The bad hell? Billions. The good hell? A select few. 👿 😈 Thats why there's two types of devil emojis. I know which one I'd be or I'll be someday in that next realm after this lifetime whenever, reincarnation into the good place someday 😈☮️✌🏻
Questions like this are above my pay grade. Hell is probably not an actual physical place. It may be a state of being, another kind of existence from the physical one we know.
it is guesstimated that... around 100 billion have ever existed
the vast majority of them, precede any idea of hell too
If Hell exists, there are Billions of people there.
About 117 billion humans have lived on earth, so if even a small percentage of them are evil, that number is still in the billions.
Well a lot more are going there, feminists and most of millennials and Gen Z. That is for sure and it is a good thing of course. A lot more women will go there then men also. Women have been the more evil of the two genders since Adam and Eve.
if you mean currently deserve hell, almost all but a few. technicly Daniela here is accurate presentation of judgements day.
A whole lot. They are in Sheol or what we call hell. But that’s only a temporary holding place. It’s not the Lake of Fire. That comes after the great white throne.
99,99998% of people who ever lived. I guess it hundreds of billions
I don't know.. I don't died yet n I never be in hell neither I want to be in there so don't HV answer for u, maybe u hv to died first n be in hell so u can get your own answer for that
Until Dante Alighieri's 14th-century poem “Divine Comedy” hell was not a place, it meant being cut off from Gods Grace.
you mixed up leviticus 20 with mathew 13. unmix.
Where do you suppose it either is or where it will built
rr
How should I know? (Though the world's murderous dictators have ended up and will end up there.)
probably as many as there are elves in santa clauses Christmas present factory.
Not nearly as many as I think deserve it! But that's just my opinion!
I don't think many people actualy go to hell, you have to be completely beyond redemption and God is very forgiving.
ypu make it sound like a pushover but only forgive if obeyed.
Hell isn't real, unless you mean the hell that people create when they are cruel to each other. The hell of war, genocide and lawlessness.
Besides real world places named after that? Zero.
Christianity is made up bullshit.
and how can you be certain of that? it isn't like fiction. the author never claimed vampire is history. but bible is history style.
in tiberius ceasar in Augustus ceaser etc.
Every single soul but my Grandmother's
She was a mother fuckimg saint.
Billions. Most humans are going to hell according to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Tons politicians, people who put their hands on a children.
If hell was real i would estimate everyone who has died since the roman empire
0 because hell isn’t real
I wish it wasn’t real. It originally wasn’t intended for us, but for the fallen angels and the devil.
I refuse to believe that.
Zero, I don't believe in hell.
Zero, I don't believe in hell.
At your age it would be very wise to reevaluate that claim.
No one, because hell isn't real.
👉 Whats the population of Earth?
trillions at least.
None because it doesn't exist
More women than men obviously
No I'm pretty sure it's not
Which is why you and majority of women will be in hell
Thank you, that is the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me. 🥺 I hope I can't get laid because if I do I'd just off her immediately
@criticalcatdad great comments from you as usual and @siri137 way more women are down there and you sum up why. with your usual cliched feminist, millennial insults.
@DarkLegacy Oh, but it's okay for him to say that most women will go to hell. Seriously? The guy is a jerk! And what's "great" about his stupid comments?
If I weren't a jerk women would like me and we can't have that
@DarkLegacy And he wants to "off" (murder) anyone he has sex with! Yeah, he's a really great guy. Gee, I wonder why women hate him. Hmm... let me think about that for a while, like a fraction of a nanosecond.
I don't want to have sex with women 🤣
I am asexual I don't "prefer" anyone I just don't want to have sex with anything why is that so hard for you to get into your thick skull? Lol
Maybe something did. Would that change anything?
I attempted sex once and it made my toes curl just attempting to get it inside her. There must be a name for that feeling of disgust and fear. Must be asexuality. There is no other word for it.
What does it matter? Regardless, I'm never having sex. Thought women would prefer that? I instead you think I should have sex with women? I thought women hated rapists
Sense women are always fighting with me when I tell them I hate sex and don't want to have sex with women must mean they have some sort of reason for wanting more men to want to have sex with them. As if women benefit from having sex with men somehow
Maybe women should just be raped more
Thanks, Wouldn't be the first time
@criticalcatdad LMFAO
Not anyone yet. We have reached Judgment Day.
We haven't reached Judgment Day.
Maybe this is hell and we are trying to get out.
Zero. It doesn't exist.
None. Hell is a made up place.
People can't go to imaginary places
None. I don't think it exists.
Who knows, a lot i guess...
I think billions of people are in hell.
Zero
None, I don’t believe in it
