Does my coworker like me?

I have a crush on my coworker and his body language is telling me that he likes me too (always stands in my personal space, mirrors me), he is even making eye contact with me when talking to other people. I went to work today to sign some papers and i was wearing a tight dress (not revealing though, long and not much cleavage) and i saw him on the way and he asked me what im doing here if it’s my day off, he checked me out from head to toe and then quickly looked away and turned around and started walking, we were walking in the same direction so i told him why i’m there and then parted ways (we weren’t alone though, his male assistant was with him and he actually spoke to me more than my crush). He never asks me personal questions though and he hasn’t asked me out even though i gave him subtle signs i like him (‘accidentally’ touching him, holding eye contact, smiling at him). On the weekend a coworker of mine said to my crush that our names sound good together and he got all red and smiled but i felt like he was embarassed so i quickly jumped in and said something nonchalant to save him. So does this all mean he likes me? And if so why hasn’t he asked me out? I’m so confused about him

If you like him, why not ask him out yourself? The fears you have he probably has too. like whether you’re interested or not, what certain interactions could mean, worried to get rejected, etc etc., so you know taking such a chance is just as risky to him as it is to you. It doesn’t always have to be the guys job to make the first move, so if you’re feeling him then you should act on it. If your main concern is his interest, well you’ve listed several things that gives you personally the green light. None of us can say yes or no with exact accuracy simply because we aren’t him. It’s risky but better than waiting around for some woman with more confidence to steal the opportunity.

You’re right. But what if he doesn’t really like me back and it’s all in my head? Then it will be really awkward at work. He’s my units doctor and i’m a nurse. I forgot to mention that i followed him on instagram but he didn’t follow me back. Why is that? He really gives me all the signs he likes me but doesn’t follow me back on instagram? I don’t understand.

Oh wow, well I’d be lying to say making a move would not be risky. Initially I thought you were equal coworkers doing the same job, but with him as a doctor, that could just be a situation he doesn’t want to engage. Are there any rules at your job that allow or prohibit dating a coworker?

Well i don’t know for sure, but the last unit i worked at a nurse (female) was dating the head nurse (male). They are now married with children. Also it would be pretty lame if it was prohibited since with our intense work schedule we barely have time to meet anyone outside the hospital.
