In the last 6 months I've been working closely with a coworker whom I developed a little crush on but I feel like he dislikes me for unknown reasons. He has displayed slightly rude behavious exclusively to me while othertimes he was a bit touchy with me (like leaning his knee against delibirately or leaning in very closely to my face while sitting next to me). He also encouraged me to call him during Christmas break to talk about work (I did not do it which he addressed after new years). Another time I caught him staring and smiling at me from afar while I was talking with my superior and he did not look away. Later that day he avoided and ignored me.
On my last day before my vacation another coworker (who is also a friend of my crush), who never took notice of me before, turned red when he saw me, struck up a conversation with me slighty mocking my crush who was within earshot.
Ever since then my crushs friend goes out of his way to be super friendly with me. I find this abrupt change in behaviour very weird and now I'm wondering:
1. Does my crush like me and told his friend? (Does seem unlikely to me since I'm physically not his type and I believe he has a crush on two other coworkers)
or
2. Does his friend like me? (I can't imagine since he has never shown any signs of interest or attraction to me before and he barely knows me, he is married and his kids are older than me.)
or
3. Do they know I like my crush? (This seems to be the most likely answer, however I was always very distant and professional towards him.)
or
something else I have not considered?
I'd really like to know about your impression of the situation :)
