Does this married man want to start a friendship with me or is he interested in more?

One day at work I noticed a guy staring at me. Every time I was talking to someone he would stand and stare at me until I acknowledged him. We talked a few times about common interest. He will only say good morning to me it he’s with his friend but will talk more when he’s not around. Though when he walks by he stares into my eyes even though all he has said is good morning. He’s always happy to see me. I found out on my own that he’s married he’s never said that he’s married. Also he doesn’t wear a wedding ring and his Facebook profile pic is a selfie. Is he just being friendly? Is it possible that he’s separated from his wife? I think he’s cute but I don’t think it’s a good idea to date him if he’s married.
