Have you ever crushed on someone that your friends didn't find attractive?

Where they didn't even think they were good looking at all? Maybe they poked fun at you for it? How do you even come back from that? LOL, its a bit embarrassing at that point. I just chalk it up to them not seeing what I see in that person. They don't understand.
