My guy friend only looks at my eyes when talking to me but gives my friend a body scan while talking to her, what does that mean?

we're all friends by the way. But i've always noticed that he looks at my body when he's behind me, so when I turn around quickly, I usually catch him either staring at my bare shoulder or ankle or whatever else. But today I noticed that when we were passing by each other we kept our eye contact, where as when he was talking to my friend, he looked her up and down once. he never does that with me (unless my back is to him).

What does that mean? Also my friend does not have a better body (she's religious so she's always covered up, no tight clothing), in case any one was wondering that she may have a hot bod.

Since he keeps more eye contact with you, that might mean he feels a connection with you.

the thing is that he makes eye contact with everyone. the body scan thing with my friend is what threw me off
