How long should I wait to text a girl?

So I always here u should not text a girl right after getting her number and you should give it 24hrs or a few days? But I've also heard that it's dumb to do that and the girl might not remember you especially if she's getting approaches by multiple guys. I typically give it a few hours but what do you think?

Don't wait, games are for kids... Just text her! People should stop overthinking.. IF THEY LIKE YOU, THEY LIKE YOU!! NO GAMES NEED TO BE PLAYED for that.. You don't have to text her immediately but it's not an issue to text her the same day...

I appreciate the love and advice unfortunately after I texted her and got a text back she asked me to send a picture of myself for a contact photo and after I did I never heard back from her again so goes to show what kinda person she is

The next day. That says not too desperate but she’ll appreciate you not leaving her on pins and needles. Also if you wait too long seems like you’re playing games or not that interested
