I gave a guy my number but he never called?

he goes to my gym. We exchanged some friendly and flirtatious waves and smiles. Finally I approached him to ask his name and spark up a short chat. The next day he approached me and gave me a flirty smile. Before I left the gym, he was on doing Cardio and I didn't want to disturb him so I dropped a note that read, "Very nice smile, E*** and wrote my name and number. He seemed approving of this. He hasn't called and it's been 4 days. I didn't see him since and today I saw him and he motioned me to come over and chat. It was short and sweet but flirty. I feel like avoiding and making him make the next moves but I really want to ask him out or at least find out his status---but I don't want to have those conversations at the gym! Why wouldn't he call? Is he not that into me?

First thing that comes to mind is there are a lot of girls doing this to him. He probably looks great. So you're not a big deal to him. You're disposable. He'll call you when he feels like it. He'll use you for sex and then you'll be wondering why he isn't calling you back.

Second thing that comes to mind is he's taken. Maybe he feels fine with forbidden flirtations at the gym. He might even cheat at some point.

Third thing that comes to mind is he's gay. Gay and doesn't realize you're hitting on him. He think you're just being nice. Since he's gay he's really into fitness. As you swoon over him on the drive home he's getting ass-rammed in the shower room. Does he bottom or top? Who knows.

Fourth thing that comes to mind is you're not as attractive as you think you are. Or, you're just not his type. He might be interested in taking you for a test drive, but he's not interested enough for anything requiring effort.

Fifth thing that comes to mind is you need to be more patient. He's busy.

All very good points. I have pretty good gay-dar, so I don't think that would be the case. Test driving me...to be honest, I am in an open relationship...so I wouldn't mind a 'friends with beneifts' arrangement... Not his type..possibly. I am low key..not someone that doesn't think her S*** don't stink but I am usually the one getting approached and most recently by hot NFL players who train @ my gym. I disregarded the football guys because I am trying to work E***! lol

I think he might just be some kind of ladies' man because he "motioned you to come over and chat" even days after you gave him that paper with your number on it. How brazen! Maybe you should consider looking elsewhere for a guy because he doesn't seem like quality dating material.
