Hi, Been speaking to this boy for around 3 months through text. Within the 3 months, he would constantly reply to my story and text me a lot. Sending me loads of kisses on text too. Two weeks ago, he said I was cute and was flirting with me, I was so happy because this was a clarification that he liked me. After finally meeting him, he kept texting me more and asked to meet up. We even booked to go to another city at the end of the month. Next thing I know he is back with one of his exes. I made it clear I liked him too, I'm literally heartbroken and he seems to be oblivious, I don't know if I should talk to him or leave it. I'm young and have never been in this situation before. I'm so upset.

I see it that he "misused" you to pass time until he could go back to his former girlfriend.

That is not unusual, mainly on long distance relations and he had never really the intention to get much closer to you in the first place. You were a good substitute to message with but I assume that he is not really a serious person.

Flirting online is always dangerous because you can never be certain of the true feelings since you don't see that person in real life. Even video contacts does not allow you to see the entire context or picture.

Your best solution now is to totally forget that player and to concentrate on the really important things of life. Don't even bother to contact him again and never make the mistake to believe that he could ever be serious should he ever attempt to contact you again. You will just be another substitute until he reconnects with a girl he knows in person.

Thank you i really appreciate it. The only issue is that My mum is dating his dad. So I knew him through his Dad and I knew his family. Just didn't get to meet him for a while. I will defo just try and forget him it's just more difficult because he has links to my family. He didn't even get back with his most recent ex, it was the one before that. The problem with these types of relations where parents know parents is that the offspring tend to think that it is ok to go above the limits that is tolerable because of the closeness of the other family members. They think they have more rights than total strangers.

I would just ignore him from now on. I mean you wasted already time with him. Why to keep wasting time with someone whos not worth it? I wouldn't even ask for a reason because its obvious he is an damn player, i wouldn't tell him how he made me feel either he won't care so its pointless. Just move on
