Sounds like you picked him so you could control em. You seem to thing he is not the best looking and since your making a concession he will “love you more or be more faithful”. First, no your looks will not seal the deal. He might think the same about you because beauty is totally subjective.

My guess is that they were never taught how to healthily express emotions growing up and a bit of immaturity. He's hurt and embarrassed and his natural reaction is to try and return the favor rather than act like an adult and accept the rejection.
