Is my teacher interested in me?

Yesterday I (F18) told my teacher (M30s) I had something to ask him, in regard to the lesson, and he told me to wait there after class. After all my classmates went away I asked him my question, which was very quick to answer.
After answering, he randomly started talking about a sport we are both passionate about and after also this topic came to an end, he introduced another random one, and then another. In the end, we spent about 20 minutes talking, and I even arrived late at my next class lol.

Furthermore, he had asked me multiple times to go play tennis with him once the school year end and he is always very cute and nice to me (and to all students, male and female, to be honest).

Is he just being friendly or do you think he likes me? I mean, it's not a very common behavior (spending time 1:1 randomly talking after class, inviting me to do something together outside school in the future etc), is it?

PS. I think he has a girlfriend, even though I'm not 100% sure.

The whole incident seems inappropriate since you are still a student, although presumably you will graduate in the spring. But you are an adult and can do what you like.

Not enough information to know. Had you ever talked to him about playing tennis before? Does he know anything personal about you? It's strange, but nowadays, so much is strange. It's not his age that would be the concern because a 30s guy could date an 18 yo girl, but that he's your teacher is.

Yes, he knows I play tennis and this was not the first time we talked about this topic.
He doesn't know anything personal about me, a part from the fact that I play tennis etc and what I would like to study at university.

Maybe since he knows you play, he just thought to hang out? Still I see what you're feeling, it's weird to me too, but nowadays so many people are crossing so many lines. I would think like you, it's inappropriate as long as he's your teacher. If he were just some 30 year old dude, then fine, but I'd decline as his student.

Girl teachers are so hard to read especially as they have to be careful in school. Does he try this a lot with you more than he does others? If you do like him "back" wait till school finishes and just make sure you meet or play tennis in a public place to be safe :)
