In terms of the conscious ones, I tend to talk to her a lot more than anyone else at the party when we hang out. I might also show off a bit more than usual in front of her (although I tend to be a showboat in general, I found even more reasons to step up on a stage and show off than usual when I was around girls I liked).

I might also disagree with her more strongly on subjects. That might be the opposite of what most guys do but I tend to summon my more assertive side around people with whom I most deeply want to understand if we're actually compatible with each other. In general, she will see a bolder and more extreme side of me than usual.

One thing in my case when I was single is that I was very willing to lose the interest of my crushes provided I really exposed who I am to her in the process. I figure you can't win a great prize if you aren't willing to make a big bet.

So I went all-in with my chips. I didn't play it safe around the girls I liked. I figure it's better to lose them by showing my more uninhibited side to them than to lose them by inhibiting myself too much and wondering if they might have liked me more if I wasn't so inhibited.

... and after all, even if I won them over with my more inhibited side, then she might leave me once she sees who I really am. And that's worse than being rejected upfront as I see it.

I have help in my flirting, all I have to say is I like this man, and if my husband approves we sometimes change chairs so maybe I can show off my legs a bit more, or if he's alone John will engage in conversation and usually invite him back to our table
