Okay, so.. first of all.. I want to say that this isn't a humble brag and that this is a genuine question, hope I won't sound pretentious:
when I was young I was very cute, I've aged a little, but I still look good. My son himself has said I look like Taylor Swift a couple of times.. haha..

his friend has complimented me a few times, he says that I'm the most attractive mother in their social circle, a couple of weeks ago he complimented me again but he was more forward about it and he literally said that all guys dream of beautiful mothers. In general, he always acts like he's really happy to talk to me and when he talks to me he tries to keep the conversations going.

I know this maybe isn't enough to go by, but in all honesty, I'm aware of the fact that I'm not unattractive.

would guys generally care at all about the fact that I'm their (best) friend's mother? Like, would they be put off because they wouldn't want to hurt their friend or anything like that?

I don't know whether I'm reading too much into it or not, he has never done anything crazy, but he has never really had a chance either, my son still lives with me and I rarely spend time with his friend alone, but he does like talking to me when my son is not around..
