Would you date someone with a toxic mom?

I’ve been dating someone with a toxic mother and ironically, she treats me better than some other girls I’ve dated who had healthier mothers, so it really is case-by-case.

One thing of note is that the girl I’m dating has also promised herself to never end up like her mother and she tries very hard not to repeat her mother’s patterns.

I’d say, if you DO date someone who had a dysfunctional upbringing, make sure they are the kind of person that is actively working on themselves and trying to heal and grow as a person.

Thats one of my requirements. But she also needs to not be like her mom because her mom taught her everything not to do.

Nothing is more sexy to me then a women that came from the bottom and made herself great!

Its even better when she still loves that toxic mom and tries to take care of her, even though the mom only brings her down...

Thats the kind of women I want to get to know more.

You’re dating the person, not their parent. What matters is whether they recognize the toxicity and protect their peace (and yours).

If they let a toxic parent control the relationship, that’s when it becomes a real issue.
