Guys, what qualities would make you consider dating a girl?

After going through a bad relationship that did not end well, to say the least, I have been looking for a more mature and considerate boyfriend over the past year. I do not have high expectations, but I haven't seem to found anyone that I really connect with and brings out the good things in me. So my questions are, girls do you know right away (within the first few days) of getting to know a guy that you will have an enjoyable, healthy relationship, or does is take longer? And guys, what is important to you in a girlfriend? What do you look for or notice that makes her different from other girls you know? What makes you sexually compatible with her? Definitely looks Nr.1, if I would follow the mainstream thought like ''looks doesn't really matter'' or like that I would be lying. Honestly I couldn't be happy with a girlfriend who I don't find physically attractive.

Sense of humour takes the 2nd place, it's the best way how to connect to each other and how to make happy relationship.

Reliability is the last thing, needless to say trust is the core of all relationships.

There may be other qualities I'd take an eye on, but these three are essentials.

The Number 1 quality for me is that she must be independent and self-sufficient. I don't like girls that are too distracted or shallow to take good decisions for themselves. That's what I find the most attractive.

What makes me sexually compatible with her? She must be cute, kind, natural, enjoy sex but not be obsessed with it.

Flexibility is a Big Deal...but that comes in many packages..I told my girlfriend (wife now for 16 years) that she could have her way 90% of the time...but that last 10% was going my way...period...it works well for us...recognize it wouldn't work well for everyone...I don't require much and my wife understands that... when I want something...I expect to get it...and I am not being petty...
