How can a guy be so foolish?

A dozen times I give him hints and still he has no idea. How can he not notice that?

Depending on the guy it may be lack of experience, being shy, immature, or just really not aware.

It is often common as a guy to miss bleeding obvious signals from a girl that she’s into you.

invariably it’s your mates that tell you, after they have laughed about how blind you are.

Often just being open and telling them is simplest way around all this hint giving.

It's not just me. Other girls smile and give hints and guys hardly notice. It is like all they are interested in is playing baseball of something, It makes me wonder, do most guys even like girls?

Hmm it greatly depends on things like a guys age, the country, social background and how much after school, after work interaction goes on.

Where I live girls definitely were a thing from 10/ 11 onwards, however a friend went to an all boys school and even after school they tended not to socialise with girls.

Also where I am, girls do make the first move and either they do or one of their friends will ask a guy out or tell him he’s cute etc.

Some guys (I'm one of them) don't understand hints or they don't want to misinterpret the hint so they won't acknowledge it. I has a few ladies make very clear hints with me and I don't understand the hints till later that day.

Ya at that age he may not understand those hints mean that you like him. Also if other girls are doing the same thing he may not even notice. Or he thinks you are being friendly. Does he look at you often?

That is very likely. When I was a freshman in high school, I recall this cute girl would smile and say "Hi" but I thought that's just what girls do. Also, she was popular so I never dreamed that she might be interested in me plus dating is not something I did until my junior year. Sometimes I noticed girls and of course I would talk to girls but I wasn't going to ask a girl for a date. Therefore, I can believe that subtle hints for a boy about her age may not be enough.
