Business and pleasure don't mix - agree or disagree?

That's my rule.
This seller keeps trying to play the coquette with me - I'm basically a wood log, but I can't recognize somebody blatantly trying to flirt - no doubt to try and get more advantageous conditions out me, when I already pay handsomely her goods.
She won't let go even after I explicitly told her I'm quite sure she's scamming me on some deals.

I told her I'm sure she's scamming me somehow - I don't understand exactly where, but she is scamming me.
Let's just say that if I'm making 2000, she's making double; and if she actually admits that, it means she's making 5000.
She did not admit it, but she did not deny it either.

Agree 1000% ! I always make sure to shut people down immediately once I catch a whiff of them trying to flirt with me. or a coworker who says, " Oh la la, you and 'so and so' have been hanging out a lot. You dating?" which I usually reply with NO, what are you 12? Men and women can't be cordial with each other in the workplace? obviously I dress it up in corporate speak tho haha.

I agree. I've always been very professional and always had this rule to not mix my personal life with my private life. The only time I dated someone who worked in the same company as me we were both from two different departments and never got the chance to work together while we were dating.

I agree that business and pleasure don't mix. But tbh, I don't know anyone who has a full time job who can even spare time for the pleasure aspect of life. It's all business and no pleasure to them even when they are supposedly done with their work for their day, because at the end, there is no time left.

Nooope. Romance at work doesn't work. If a breakup happens, HR gets involved, people talk, hearts are broken, and one inevitability quits their job. Lives ruined. So no, dont do it

Pleasure has always been part of business, it helps build good relationships and that helps when things go wrong. But once the scamming game starts it's bye bye.

They mix unless you let the pleasure affect the business. The sales rep can drop $500 on lunch all they want. It won't make any difference, but I'll enjoy the lunch all the same.

I would do it. Because in my previous employment I was only making $10 hourly, and you only live once. Then you age and become old. So YES. Get that booty, get that guy, go all out.
