Can you develop feelings for someone you have never met?

I've been talking to this guy through this site... and I think I've developed feelings for him... he knows what I look like and I know what he looks like, but that's all. we never cammed or met in person, we just talk. do you think it's possible? we've been talking for almost for a year now- longer than 99% of my past relationships.

Someone you've never met is largely a product of the mind. If you don't live/experience this person, what you think about is generated by your own mind.

So yes, it follows that you can love someone you've never met.

Yes. Once you get to know someone better and feel you actually do-you can develop feelings for this person and care for them as a whole.

I don't think this is something anyone else can tell you, to be honest. Some people believe it's possible, while other people think it's ridiculous. Only you know what you feel, so only you can decide what's really going on.

i think it can, but it's not a very good substitute for knowing someone "irl". So if you really like him, I suggest you meet up at some point and see how things are in person
