Because they do not have any game. The shy guy is rare so it is cute to a girl to see him turn red and be nervous. They are not picking on you. Girls don’t flirt unless there is some personal interest in you.

One of them might jump but you have to Lead. Leader and shy (NOT going to cheat) is hot to them. You have to take control in gentle way conversation and direction. "Let's go out on a date". MYSTERY maybe he is not shy? Get it?

It can be cute if they don't go too far with it. Like a couple of years ago this boy in my class very quiet and shy. He stretched in class and his bellybutton showed. Some girls saw it and told him he got all embarrassed. After that the girls tried to lift up his shirt to embarrass him. I think that was taking things too far. I felt kinda bad for him actually.
