You mean "like like" them? A direct way would be a letter, or some of other medium that gets your intent across. Anything else, they'd just think of you as a friend that is very nice.

When words match actions, then it becomes effective communication. An example of NOT getting your point across would be to say to the crush you wanted to date them, but then pretend like they don't exist/mindgames. Another would be saying you hate the crush, but your body language says you are really into them or you give them gifts.

I am answering regarding girls showing their crush we like them it might be different for guys. So if you are a guy, be aware that this is not advice I am giving guys I am explaining the girl version or at least my version. First for those saying "just tell them", I think that is easy to say but risky to do!! The risk (especially if over time you did it more than once in the same social circle) would be looking like a crazy person or looking too desperate. I am not saying it can never work but, I have NEVER done this, it really is not necessary. So, I would say there are two situations, we will start with the simpler one which I think will usually work. For the simple situation, mainly I would smile upon eye contact and then look away. I would ask him to explain something or teach you something or ask for him to help with something for example carrying a box. Specifically him not a group of guys or multiple guys, it is ok if it is kind of obvious what you are doing. And if he touches you, like if he brushes against you or puts his hand on your shoulder, act like that is welcome, don't get tense or anything, you can slightly lean into him or smile depending exactly what he did.

For the harder situation if the guy is clueless or if you can't find opportunities to do this stuff, basically I would have a girl I trust ask him what he thinks of you, but this MUST be a girl you trust, not HIS friend it should be YOUR friend who will not treat it like a joke or embarrass you.

JMO but if directly asking works for you, that is great I just feel like that's the easy answer but is not very realistic most of the time!!

To truly know her. But you want the easy way out. I have dated many women. Not a single one ever just came out and said "I like you". I just knew.

For girls, you smile. Not that pose for a photo smile- I mean real smile, where your cheeks gloe and your eyes beam. Give him things that show you remember what he talks about. Give him your number and ask him what his weekend plans are. If a guy can't get the hint, he's either dumb as shit or not interested.

Because. It’s hard when hinting at someone. To get them to notice but also not push in case they’re simply ignoring it.

If you flirt and they flirt back. That’s when you can make your move. If you’re flirting and they don’t flirt back. It could mean one of two things.

They have not caught on and you’re better off being direct. What’s flirting for some isn’t for others. Another possibility is they aren’t interested.

I know making a move can be scary. Rejection. But. Then again. If you don’t make a move you could have a chance and lose it.

It's depends are they single, dating, or married? That can make it harder. Trying flirting or ask them if they want to hang out or go grab coffee. Some people will misread the signs, so it is probably be best to ask them out.
