In my case, I am flirtatious by nature. I am not talking about real sexual enuendo stuff, but playful banter. I was raised in the south where you were taught how to be a gentleman and part of that is having the ability to strike up a conversation. I have actually had that backfire a time or two. So I would say just because a man is flirtatious does not mean he wants to do anything other than talk with you. However, if the flirting becomes more intense with good eye contact, Open body language and more focused conversation about you, hey you have a winner.

If you give him signals at right moments he'll stay even if he's flirty by nature.

If it's like flirting with a wall ofcourse he'll move on.

Yeah unfortunately we tend to do just that. It's hard to come up with a reason though. Like, I find myself doing it sometimes but there's really no concrete reason to it. Probably has something to do with the fact that we actually can't control ourselves. Just can't help it. ¯\_(• •)_/¯
