If you are talking indirect approach then these are the things I like.
1. Even though I hate phone calls I like it from some people who I care about.
2. If you have him on social media go like his stuff, or comment on his stories/posts.
3. If you see him in person say you like something that he is wearing (most guys will remember compliments from like 5 years ago haha)

1. Ask him if he has plans anytime soon because you heard a good place to eat and want to try it out.
2. If you don't have his number already you could ask for it now.
3. And probably for the most direct is by saying he is cute and you would like to go out sometime.
Of course if he got a tough jab, he's not in the mood to flirt with (and potentially get rejected by) another woman, you in this case.
I would tell it directly. It won't feel to him as it would feel to you if a man did it that way with you.
You can also try finding excuses to talk to him, and do so in a slowly progressive manner: if not at first, as time goes he will understand, and by his attitude you will understand what is response is.

Just tell him that's how. That simple. Get together and tell him. Invite him to go out with you and tell him.
It's simple, just tell him. If he says no, then it's no. The both of you are not friends either
Just tell him. walk up to him and say can I say something to you please don't get upset about it and then say it.
If you guys are friends then you should have some rapport. Use that to just be candid and honest.
"Hey, I like you." And if he doesn't get it at first follow it up with most sensual voice "I really like you." And place your hand on his shoulder and slowly move it down his arm or his chest.
