Flirting

Do you call women that you are casual aquantancies with (no relationship and not friends either) "baby" ? Or is that flirting?

I know you'll propably say if he is flirting there will be other signs as well, but it's a little complicated. We were flirting A LOT. After a while there was a misunderstanding and nothing ever happened, things got cold between us.

We both tried to communicate again a little later, but I get too weird with situations like these if it's a guy I really, REALLY like. It's either all or nothing. Tell me if you like me, or go away. I could not handle the whole getting comfortable with each other again, not knowing how he really feels, that was too much stress, so I told him to just reset and say we never flirted.

That did help me relax. I do have an issue of thinking in black and white, middle ground confuses me. And I am working on myself a lot to fix these issues. But I never stopped thinking about him.

It's been a while, I texted him for Christmas wishes, he replied and called me "miss", he is usualy in a playful mood when he does that, but could mean nothing as well.

And yesterday I found a post that was psychoanalyzing something about our misunderstanding. I forwarded it to him so that we can both have a laugh and we did. You know it's been a while, it was stupid, we can laugh about.

He laughed and said "Happy new year baby"

Should I get offended? Was that sexist? Ok maybe I should ask women that. But was it just friendly? Or could he be in a flirty mood?

Cause if he is, there will be things holding him back
