Yes, perhaps I'm really naive and should by now know better, but... well... I try to see the good in people, and naturally enough just assume the other person is being truthful. I give people the benefit of the doubt, but when this person (who shall remain anonymous) told me that he/she (I'm not even 100% sure what gender they were) likes both anime and unicorns, the first thing that popped into mind was of a fat, lazy 30 plus incel baby who still hangs on to his mother for support, and thinks 'Star Trek' is real.
Do you mean My Little Pony? Some of those guys are weird so I know what you're talking about, some of those guys are not, but ultimately no I don't think either is a red flag.

Nothing wrong with enjoying anime as a form of entertainment. What's wrong with unicorns? Let people like what they like, and accept, respect and love them for who they are.
Why exactly is anime a red flag? Thinking that it’s a red flag is the red flag. Unicorns aren’t real

If they're an adult, yes. The Anime thing I can still excuse, a lot of autistic people like it, and some people just like Japanese culture, but the unicorn thing is very strange.
Lol. Only people I know who like anime and unicorns are girls. Maybe he/she is one?
Wait... Star Trek isn't real?
Yes, one gigantic red flag. 🚩
Why does it have to be a red flag.
