I need advice with a guy, so we’ve been friends over the years and when we first met he told his friends I was hot and he thought I’d make a great girlfriend etc. He knew I fancied him but he denied feeling anything and he moved away so now we are friends again…he is happy to talk to me/reply to my messages and I said to him it’s tricky to be just friends but he said ‘I’m happy to do whatever works best with you xx’.
Im still in the friendzone aren’t I, or maybe not? Any help would be good…especially given he sent kisses knowing how I feel?

It is clear that this guy fancies you or at least likes your attention. Many guys stay friends with a girl because inside their head... they are dating. He is waiting for the moment and it has arrived. He was pushing you with the let's do whatever and KISSES.

It also sounds like he's not trying to push the relationship in any particular direction and kind of leaving it up to you where you want it to go.

There’s a small hitch…he lives in another state to me now but I’m not sure how to take it from here tbh, I want to be with him though if he feels the same

My advice goes as far as whether a guy is into you or not.
Long distance relationships are not my specialty and I'm highly agaisnt them.
Just do whatever feels right and try not to over do it. There's not much you can do turn a guy off if he digs you
