Does wearing a wedding ring seem to attract the opposite sex to you more than when you weren't married and wearing a wedding ring?

Sometimes a wedding ring 💍 is like a guy or girl magnet 🧲 when you wear them.
When my boyfriend was single, he hardly ever got hit on. But when he got married and sported his wedding ring the women wouldn't stop hitting on him.
I found that true as well - even when I was pregnant this guy at worked kept complimenting and was real friendly.

Then when no one thinks you aren't taken, they seem to not be as interested.

I do not know if it was the ring but right after I got married I was hit on by 3 different girls. One worked at a gas station that I used to get my gas at. I used the company credit card and she tracked me down with that and called me one day and invited me to a party she was giving with her roommates. I told her that I was married. Too bad because she was pretty hot.

Kinda the same thing happened to me.
My Nova broke down, and I pulled into the gas station where he worked. (He was also in college studying to be an account). I had my rings on, but I think he ignored them.
Anyway, I needed a gasket for my car so we drove to the town where I lived and he came in when I had to pay him.
Later he asked me to a frat house party. I told him I was married. He said he knew, but had his scruples. So my friends and I went to the party. I was a good wifey - but he was so cool, it took me a while to forget about him and what could have been. 🤷🏼‍♀️

The overwhelming majority of men are not very interested in pursuing married women. For women, though, a man with a ring means he's considered worth keeping and valuable to women, and I know women (for some really odd reason) like to try and steal each other's boyfriends or husbands from one another.

The logic behind it will never make sense to me.

It's exactly the same as when a movie poster lists awards won and plaudits from reviewers. Or when a McDonalds brags about how many customers they have served.

A wedding ring means some woman agreed to marry this guy, which is a major endorsement of him as a mate.

My husband still gets hit on, but not as aggressively as when he would when carrying one of our babies. The women would turn into animals frothing at the mouth. 😂

Me on the other hand, nope. Men just stare from afar and sometimes I can't tell whether they are disgusted or lost.

I’ve heard of this with women but it never mattered when I was married wearing a ring or not, I’ve never caught women’s attention either way, still single and no one ever noticed
