Married women, how often and why don't you wear your wedding ring (s)?

Is it fair to say when a woman isn't wearing her wedding rings in public it's a sign of a problem in the marriage?

Lol 🤣 this so funny you just asked this today I just removed the main center piece because It needed replacement. It tarnished. I have a 3 piece set the two outer rings are the bands. They are 14k rose gold with a ring of actual little diamonds. Now my real actually center piece is expensive. well to me it is expensive (my whole set cost about $4500) but I know there are sets that push 6 and more (way more). Now getting back to my point. I currently have my ring in a safe. I replace the center with rose gold plated rings or rose gold imitation rings. They look absolutely stunning but the have a value of about $10 - $25 dollars.
Now why do I do this? There are multiple reasons. 1st reason was I began to work a night shift as a cashier for a part time 2nd job. My first week on the job men tried to rob us. Luckily I was ok and nothing serious happened. We been robbed or attempted to be robbed a few time but thankfully it was never again the cash registers like my first experience but instead products and food. 2nd As time went on I also noticed the ring would get extra dirty and sometimes caught as I cleaned the the front end of the store (registers, the belts candy rack etc).
I know I didn't want to ruin the main ring so I replaced it with fancy costume jewelry. I must add this discussion also coincided with my marriage taking a hit. Before this for 8 years NOTHING MADE ME REMOVE MY RING (though I never had a night job that threaten my ring nor did I find myself in a situation of being robbed 🤔 so I weary on this thought)
But I will be COMPLETELY HONEST. I did reach a point in my marriage where wearing the ring literally felt as if it was strangling me. I felt as if it was a chain spiked collar connect to a tour chain leashing me down. The marriage was a shamble and I was done wearing something that indicated I belonged to somebody. We broke up. We lived in the same home but in separate bedrooms. (Almost 1yr 8mths)
I kept it off for months. Then my husband became extremely ill in February. He was in the hospital since Feb to May (strokes kidney failure and heart failure, 9 surgies and 10 blood transfusions). I put the ring back on for him. He wanted to keep face around his friends and family who did not know of our relationship. Now he has been in a rehab to cooperate since Mid May. I am still wearing the ring on my left hand. It doesn't bother me so much right now. I think subconsciously I had also removed it (beside it feeling like a restraint) because I felt I didn't deserve to wear it if I was in love with him and didn't want to be with him. But regardless of the fact that I AM NOT IN LOVE with my husband I have learned through these months of his illness I do care about him. I believe I have earned my right to wear the ring again. Despite us not being a in love couple I have not once not been there for him. Every surgery every test every blood transfusion I was at his side. On serious occasions when he was on life support I slept at the hospital. I have vistied him everyday to check up on him and bring him food since Feb with the exception of two days. One day my kids were sick and they other I was burning a fever and there couldn't go. I not a bad wife. We weren't bad people. We just didn't work out.
But if we do get a divorce I will remove for sure however We will keep living under one roof.

OMG I could never forget my ring as I sleep with them on... And I even went as far as buying a cheap Gold ring with lab made diamonds to wear twice a year when I take my rings for their bi annual examination and cleaning. It can take up to 3 weeks for them to be fully evaluated and documented. On the occasion when I had to remove them due to medical exams I had them stored away. Even then Id feel weird not having them on.
So... Yes While my marriage was in good standing I never went anywhere without them and I am not sure if this matters but When I took the off I must add I wore the bands alone on the right hand instead. I am not un love with my husband but I am very particular. I feel it is my duty to do my best to uphold my vows. (Though we have a mutual agreement we can see other people. But we do not flaunt it. We do not share details of another person to each others we will not use each others as baby sitters to go on such dates and the biggest part of the agreement NO ONE NO FRIEND or family is to know so we can keep face.) Despite this my life is too chaotic to search for lover. No time for it despite how lonely I do get.

I usually wear mine, but if I don't it's because I forgot, or my hand is sore, or I'm afraid there is a higher than normal risk of me losing it at that particular time or place.
