What to text someone deceivingly and then say “oh by mistake?

I get this random person that texts me by accident,

"Hey, Bill why are you not responding to my texts?"

I say; "this is not the Bill, I am not the guy you are looking for."

They say; " LOL, when are you coming over?"

I say, " Seriously this is not bill you have the wrong number"

They say; " My bad thanks."

What's weird is that they have done this like 6 times in three years, so it probably someone I know that is just trying to see if I have the same number, still?

Or this Bill is using my number as fake number.
