Can you send an accidental text like this?

I got a text from an unknown number saying "Hiya, I got your text this morning, but I'm using this phone at the moment. I'm good thanks, how are you?"

I text back saying "Sorry, who's this?"

No reply. When I went to save the number in case it was someone I know, I accidentally dialled it for a couple of seconds and hung up straight away. It must have gone through, because later in the evening, the number called me and hung up, just like I had done.

I didn't bother to text or call it.

But I think it was my ex. I don't have his new number, but this person has mine. Could it be just a mistake text from a stranger? If it was a friend, why did they drop call me and not answer who it was. Also, my ex always says "hiya" and his punctuation was all over the place like it usually is. We haven't spoken in ages.

From time to time I receive stray messages & when that happens it’s game on & I really fuck with the person who sent the message. I try to have normal & abnormal conversations with them & waste their time.

Could have been a phishing call. When you call back they can do something to get your info or something. I'm not sure how that works but I never call anyone back that doesn't identify themself for this reason.

not at all think you find who your sending from a list then type in the massage and press send 3 things not an Accident

May have been your Ex, trying to remember your # or showing you his without giving much away.
