If that’s how you feel, then yes, it’s going to fail. Age gap relationships aren’t uncommon, and can work well with the right attitude, but if you feel like you could be his mother, then why are you dating someone 6 years younger?

I wasn’t planning on it. In fact, I was only going to help him with some school assignments and he was the one that started trying to pursue me.

If you were 30 and 36…maybe. But fresh out of high school is very different than a couple year out of college entering the working adult world.

You’re absolute right. Well, I tried cutting it off a few hours ago and he started crying…red eyes and all. Telling me not to stop talking to him. The whole discussion started because I felt weird missing someone that’s younger than me…it feels weird because I usually talk to people that are older than me. So, I told him I’d back off and he got upset.
