Long ago. About 12 years now. I was a 14 year old kid with too much access to the internet.
I used to go on forum sites and chat up strangers and with some we would flirt. I didn't think too much of it but I actually got pretty good through trial and error.
So when I turned 22 and moved out of my parents house I got into dating apps and had decent success with it.
But now I find it too tedious to flirt with a person that I would never meet because there are things you can only experience in person (and no not just sex) but it's far too safe to keep it digital and it gets boring10 Reply

"a sexual behavior involving spoken or written communication, as well as body language, by one person to another, to suggest interest in a deeper relationship with the other person".
Now, we all know what "a deeper relationship" means, right?
I am not interested in fornicating and thus, I do not flirt, whether in real life or online. I don't want to give the wrong impression to people I don't know.
Why have an ill reputation that is so easy to misunderstand. You only give yourself a bad reputation and I am not interested in getting one of a person of low morale and that has no self-esteem and dignity.

I always appreciate your replies, but I really disagree with the definition you supplied regarding flirting. It does not have to be sexual in nature whatsoever. I've always felt like it was showing a simple interest in another human being that you might want to have a deeper relationship with. Basically a sign of interest.
No doubt, some flirting can be very sexually suggestive, but not all. - +1 y
Wow. How does a "deeper relationship" translate to sex? Sexual relationships are the OPPOSITE of deep! They are shallow!
+1 yNo I never flirted online and was never on a dating site. You can never know what kind of creep you are flirting with and who knows "he weazel's information from you, finding your personal information" and the next thing you know his hand covers your mouth as he tears your clothes off rapes you several times and you never hear from him again.

+1 yWell, then it sounds like you're wasting people's time out online. People just don't want to flirt and be boring online. It's okay to flirt and tease, but you definitely got to be more of a please and a tease. It's okay to be a tease. But you definitely got to be better at pleasing than teasing. Because, there's no point in teasing if you're not going to please. So, if you're just going to do the wasteless flirting, and just get somebody horny, and not do anything about it, then you're pretty useless

u +1 yWhen I was using online dating sites, my MO was to spend just enough time DMing to make sure she wasn't totally weird, then give her my phone number and ask her to call me (a real voice-to-voice phone call,) and after a few calls, to arrange a face-to-face meeting. Anything slower or less than that is wasting time, being dishonest, or both.

I am better in person.

+1 yYou can't do that without flirting? Or are you flirting because you think it will actually get results? Lots of "taken" people like flirting too, just for the fun of it if nothing else. But I'm sure a lot would not turn down some side action. 😝
20 ReplyNot unless I know exactly who it is I'm flirting with, these days you never know if it's a dude or a woman behind that other keyboard, but yeah when I'm in the mood and want y to have company for that evening will initiate it and there you go, rarely with strangers online,

+1 yI don’t really like to waste my time.
When i use dating app, usually i will arrange to meet up after few days matched and talking.
If someone just keep teasing online, i will block him😬😬
I met my boyfriend in the dating app, and we met up after a week talking.00 Reply
+1 yIt’s fun until it’s not lmao. I am extremely guilty of doing it even when i’m not even trying and i tend to get myself in some unfortunate situations because of it. Will i stop anytime soon though? no.. 💗

00 ReplyI don't not like it, but I'm not interested in trying to find people to flirt with either. It happens if it happens.
I think if I were to try to find girls to flirt with, it would be out of a hope of getting something more out of it. Some kind of relationship.

+1 yFlirting online seems rather pointless to me, and ultimately frustrating, although having a little naughty chat with someone online may sometimes be nice. Things online only stick to virtual, and I'm looking for something real.
00 ReplyNot really, it gets boring when you end up waiting 30 minutes or a whole night for a response to your cutie little lines. I'll talk about my sex life all day but I'm just out of it with flirting now.
