this might sound dumb but ill throw it out anyway. Ask what his favourite drink is, or something he recommends, then if he doesn't seemed annoyed your asking work related questions, maybe ask a couple more, then ask related things like where a good restaurant is, then say "maybe we can check it out sometime"

If he's not too busy, ask him when he gets off. Or just give him your number and say "call. me?"

Thanks for the tag, show up at off peak hours. Don't flirt when he's busy, and I wouldn't even call it flirting just normal conversation. You're a female it's his duty to ask you out, you can exchange social media w him if it's a little uncertain and go from there, if you're feeling pretty confident he's interested, tell him you are going to the exhibit, game, whatever event next week but it sucks because no one in your friend circle wants to go, open the door for him, and the rest will work out if he's interested.
