How can I start a conversation through text with a guy I like?

I just met him a week ago, we’re just friends. But I want to try and start a conversation with him through text. I’m kinda nervous, and I don’t know how to start the conversation.

Honestly, just start talking to him. Even bug him a little bit. But only just a little. He'll act a little annoyed but guys secretly like it when you pester them. Assuming he likes you back.

Avoid sending memes and tik toks/reels. They appear vague and insincere.

Stick with actual dialogue but avoid word vomit. A few sentences at a time.

Mention specific things that you're into to avoid the "oh I'm into anything and up for whatever" attitude. Like specific songs, specific movies, specific actors. He might come back with his own specific answers and bip bam shazaam you've got a conversation going.
