He's the barista there, so somehow I found his ig and followed him, and he accepted it, but he didn't follow me back until recently I liked one of his stories and later that day he followed me back. You need to talk to him, well you know that, but you really needed to talk to him as soon as you could before having the Instagram aspect (which is just misleading and potentially complicating saying hello, since you get talking and eventually admit you know him from instagram, which might be taken oddly).

Your best bet is to visit the cafe when its a quieter time, and when you make your order you can say something like "I hope you will make my order, keeps it hot" with a bit smile. It really gives an opening for the guy to talk to you at the level of flirting, which, if your lucky he will be very keen to. If he's disinterested, he will likely just complete your ordering process as professionally as possible (but if he's interested, he should flirt back, a good flirty would be, "I'll definitely be preparing this one personally". Though if he's a shy person, you might like to go with the more subtle "Hey, do we know each other?" if he's into you he'll use the opening, to chat about that, if he's disinterested he'll just plump for something like "No, I don't think so. Can I get you anything else?".

You have to Woman up and do it. Stop being so scared. The worst he can do is say no or give you a nasty attitude. Just be cool and be youself.
