Guys, Which compliments mean the most to you?

I am talking about sincere, heartfelt compliments.

which things are you most happy to receive compliments about?

your achievements, your intelligence, your skills, your looks, your loyalty, your kindness, your sense of humour, your strength, your impeccable driving skills?
Or something completely different?

I actually think a lot of guys don’t get enough compliments for everything they do.

I will answer in parts:

1. "I am talking about sincere, heartfelt compliments.

Yes but honestly I totally dislike compliments so I just give a deaf ear to it. Like I am indifferent to it.

I don't like to receive compliments but yes if people wish to compliment then they can do so but I just ignore it.

Yes I am sure people must have complimented me on some of the things and maybe they were genuine and sincere but I don't remember any of it now because as a habit I just ignore the compliments.

Yes what are saying is also true.

A handful of times I’ve been told that I’m a good leader.


That one hits deep, because it shows that I’ve earned their trust and respect, and it’s not as easy of a compliment to get as “you’re handsome”.


Another compliment that hits hard is telling me that I make them feel safe.


I suppose it’s compliments from women that communicate that I’m a good protector, provider, and leader that have a lot of impact.


It makes me feel like I’m doing something right as a man.


Lastly, this one was actually told to me by a fellow man: “You’re a wonderful human being.”


That one was felt on the soul level. Just soul to soul. It was very wholesome and something that I’ll always remember.

Yes, those are compliments that will always be really memorable to me.

Sincere compliments that let you know how much you’ve grown and how far you’ve come.

Men don't get enough, so we really will take any. The more awkward he reacts to the compliment generally means he probably hasn't received many. I try to give homies their flowers when I can since not many people do. Compliment your people when you can. Appreciate those in your lives while they're still here and not when they're gone.

People often tell me that I am intelligent, but it is something that I already know, and the average person is much inferior to me intellectually. I would feel flattered if a person equally or more intelligent than me told me that I am intelligent, but I have not met anyone. no one who is equal or smarter than me.

I know it for myself when I am or was good at something.

I only speak for myself, but compliments on my appearance and kindness always feel performative and make me uncomfortable. I would prefer compliments on either a skill I have, or a job I’ve done.
