How do I reach out to a man without coming off as desperate?

I met a man on a TV shoot last week and the shoot lasted two days. I found this man very attractive and we did speak a few times over the course of the shoot, but not enough, due to the fact that we were both working. Now that the shoot is over, I really want to reach out to him. I found him on social media and I was thinking of sending him a message saying:

"Hey! It's so and so from the shoot last week. We didn't get a chance to talk much but it was great to meet you! I love your energy." Or something like that. I don't have the guts to ask him out. Plus, I'm not too sure how he feels about me. He was really sweet and even a little nervous when we spoke, if I read him correctly. But let me not overthink it.

Apart from social media, I also have access to his number/email from the shoot, but I'm not sure if I'm feeling that bold.

I'm wondering how you guys would handle this if you were in my shoes.

Just totally be straight up honest with him if you're being honest with him that's not desperate.

And if somebody thinks it's desperate it's just because they can't be honest.

If you'd like the guy tell him you like him tell him everything you like about him then let him make a choice that's not being desperate that's being real

I would love being reached out to just like you wrote it. If I was interested in you I would compliment you back and get you talking. Hopefully he has the confidence to not talk too long before jumping to ask you out- again if he's interested. Or if he seems interested but you aren't sure then you can always just ask. Most women prefer a man who will make a move though. But men can take so, so long in life to learn this stuff.

I'd keep it very light and brief like "enjoyed our discussion last week. Then ask a question".

yeah there's nothing wrong with that message. But you might want to also ask if he's tried a new cafe or something. That would put a thought in his mind to ask you out. Just be prepared if he doesn't answer. If he doesn't then just move on. If you write more than once if he didn't respond the first time you would seem desperate
