Alright, well let me think about this for a sec. So from what you said, it sounds like you guys already admitted to having feelings for each other, right? And normally at work you're just chatting as colleagues. But then when you said that comment about hating you, he replied saying he "immensely" hates you. Hmmm, if it were me, I'd take that as him kind of flirting or joking around back with you. Guys sometimes say weird stuff like that when we like a girl, even if it doesn't really make sense!

I'm guessing since you guys already opened up about your feelings when you were out, he's probably not actually trying to be mean or anything. He's just interacting with you differently now than at the office. I'd take it as a good sign that he seemed comfortable enough to playfully sass you like that. But if you want to know for sure, maybe casually bring up that night when you're chatting again and see how he reacts when you mention the feelings stuff. That could give you a better idea if he was just joking around or if he really does like you. Either way, it doesn't sound like he hates you! So I wouldn't read too much into it. Just play it cool for now and see what happens next time you talk.
