I used to do them a lot, including sometimes on a dare from friends. They were fun- I always got a least a good convo out of them.

I think this is fine... I once had a guy do this to me but he was being really weird about it, because he was staring at me from across the street as I was at the bus stop with my sister then he crossed the street and kept walking by us until my sister was like Hey whats your name and he started talking to us and asked if he could get my number but my sister was like yeah add her on FB instead but he was only 24 so I wasn't interested and he probably forgot how to spell my name so he never added me. I ended up seeing him on POF too and he messaged me but I never replied lol. So cold approach is fine just try not to be weird about it because first impressions are important LOL.

Depends on the approach. Are you with someone? After you tell them you are, do they keep going? That's a turn off for me, if I'm with someone. Like they just ignored you, and thinking with desire and think the no is a yes? When I was single, I had fun with cold approaches. It's like watching Peacocks flexing their feathers and was entertaining.
