Although he is 8 years younger than me, I would still date him if given the chance because he is a nice guy. I asked if he would ever hang out with me outside of work and he said he would, we make each other laugh all the time, he held the door open for me the other night when we were leaving but doesn't really do that for the others at night, my dad went into the store to buy something and he asked how I was doing even though I had just left 2 hours ago, when I was leaving and he was cashing me out, he made a joke that a flower fell and asked "do you want a flower?" He seems like a shy guy who isn't very experienced with girls so if he nervous and lowkey flirting in his own way to show interest?

Hmm, those are some positive signs that he might be interested in you! Holding the door, asking how you are even after your shift, and joking around seem like little ways he shows care beyond just being coworkers. Some guys definitely show interest more subtly too if they're shy.

That said, dating a coworker can get tricky so I'd proceed carefully. Maybe try casually hanging out in a group setting first to see how he acts when it's not just you two. See if he finds excuses to talk one-on-one too. Give it some time and watch for small gestures adding up.

Don't rush into anything official yet. But the fact he said he'd hang out is a good start! I'd just see how things naturally progress first before making a move yourself. Sounds like there’s potential there. His actions will tell you more rather than what he says. Men aren’t too good w expressing feelings, so we show a lot of affection by doing things like teasing you, maybe getting you a certain candy on the way to work because you said you liked skittles or something. Helping you w things. Staying over at work to help you or walk you to your car so you’re safe. He may get upset if he sees you talking to other men all the time. Most of our feelings are shown through actions. Even as we get older it’s shown by paying for things like the bills lol dinner, etc.
