Do good morning texts to someone you flirt with have meaning?

Just general debating. I used to read a lot into them from a guy. I'd buy into the "it means you are the first thing they think about when wake up". But I don't think so anymore. They could be bored, lonely, feeding their ego, fishing (multiple good mornings to see who bites).

I still enjoy getting them. But women can over read into them I think. Believing there is an emotional connection there.

Does it have more meaning if a woman sends to a man? Or is just as glib (bored, friendly, fishing). Do men like a morning text from a woman? Or does it come across needy? I think most women wait for the man to text first unless it's purely friendship and no flirting/sexting in convos.

I think it depends on the dynamic of the relationship. Some people hang on to every text they receive, where as others it is what it is.. just a text!

I know! But when u just talking to someone from a dating app its confusing lol. Well. Used to be. I thought it meant a guy really liked u if they texted first every morning. Then I learned it's sometimes a player tactic. Sometimes does mean that. And sometimes means nothing at all. But I saw it being sprouted on Facebook in a group telling women it means the guy is thinking of you so I thought I'd come ask on here. Its dangerous telling women it does when really as you say it depends on so many things!

If you take it back to grass roots.. a text is just words without emotion. Sure it's nice to have a morning text to wake up to, but what if they have it sent to everyone in their phone book? Defeats the object somewhat!

In our country, if a person sends a good morning message to someone, it means that she misses them and cares about them, and I think people look for someone they love and miss and care about, and send a message.

Well we get played a lot. It sucks I know. If your a nice guy and not like that it still takes time to build trust.
Kinda like how because of some thieves shops have to presume everyone is a thief with their alarms, security tags and barriers which are annoying.
