I am the kind of person that needs to FEEL someone for the other person to be interested.

If some part of me wondered "what would happen if i started walking down this path?" it is because I feel a bit of something already.

And in that moment i would question if i still love my partner. If the answer is "no", i would break up with them (and be free to do whatever i want with whoever i want).

If the answer is "yes", i would tell them that i love them and am still interested in the relationship, but i have also met someone else and think i feel something for them, too.

And only if my partner is comfortable with that (like an open relationship) i would start flirting with that new guy

To that, i can only say that i am SO happy that i haven't seen myself in that situation of having feelings for two persons at once xD

Because it would indeed be messy.

But lets be honest: maybe the "flirter" isn't looking for a long-term relationship.
Or maybe he is but one year later we find out that we are not compatible.
Or maybe he is not interested in flirting with someone in an open relationship.
Or maybe he es cute but also an asshole and i loose interest two days after that...
Or maybe my relationship with my partner ends because some other reason.

I mean, what are the chances of having not one, but TWO WORKING RELATIONSHIPS in this era?

I was not the one in the middle of the triangle. I new about the other one, the other one didn't know about me.
They were ALLEGEDLY in a close relationship (infidelities everywhere) and i was the "something else" watching the whole scene with popcorns xD

But what i mean is that for me a relationship is not about "exclusive sexuality", its about finding someone you connect with and want to share your life with. And having sex with other person (or even connecting with other person) doesn't mean you dont love your partner any more

Well, i dont blame them. I mean , we have bee raised to believe that sex and love are the same and that if someone loves you, they wouldn't want to sleep with any one but you.

There are also a lot of issues about self-steem.
I loved this person very much and i didn't care what he did with his body in his bed. But at the same time i couldnt stop asking myself if i was somehow not enough for him.

You need to be REALLY mature to be in an open relationship and make it work. Its really complicated and sometimes the risk is not worth it...

It's cheating lite. Would you do it if your boyfriend were sitting next to you? If not, don't do it. You're just chasing after excitement, it's a very base desire, similar to a man's desire for another woman's body. If you wouldn't want him flirting with another girl for her body then don't let another guy flirt with you for the excitement of it.
