Anonymous(30-35)+1 yI hate it when people refer to different bras in the wrong way. I work at Victoria's Secret so let me school you all.
When you say "un-padded" you mean UNLINED. And unlined bra will provide a more natural shape. To some who have naturally round and even breasts, an unlined bra will look the same on as will a lined bra. To those who have the more common breast shapes (slightly fuller on the bottom than on the top), an unlined bra will give you less support (as there is less fabric to do so) and provide the "natural look." Unlined bras DO NOT look good on everyone so you have to look for the right style and cut.
When you say "padded" you mean LINED. A lined bra will provide no nipple show through and will give you a more defined and round look. Lined bras DO NOT add a bra size. They do not make you appear larger than you are.
Then there are UPLIFT bras. These styles provide slightly more "padding" than a lined bra. These bras will provide no nipple show through and give you a natural lift. These bras DO NOT add a full bra size. Depending on the style, however, they can add 1/4 to 1/2 of a bra size.
Then there are PUSH-UP bras. These bras have a strip of cushion towards the bottom of the cup. You are to place your breasts over the cushion. By doing this, you will have more cleavage and the cushion will round you out towards the bottom while your breasts are rounded out towards the top (if that makes sense). Push-ups ALWAYS add at least one cup size and, depending on the style, can add more.
There are different uses for all styles of bras. Smaller chested women prefer push up bras simply because they help fill out certain tops a bit better. However, just because you're small doesn't mean you HAVE to wear pushups. Lined bras are great for everyday. Uplift bras are good when you get up in age and you need a little pick me up. But anyone can use an uplift. Push up bras are great for a night out just because they give you more "boobage." Larger breasted women don't really need push ups to look bigger, but they may want them to fill out a dress. And unlined bras are good for women who like to wear bras to sleep. They are also good for women who love the natural look. Personally, I don't like them, but that's just me.
Everyone, no matter your size, should have at least one push-up. The majority should be lined, but unlined have their uses (they are also the most comfortable).
If you are woman and you wears bras, please be educated about it!11 Reply

Yes, I wear padded push-ups everyday, that's all I have. I don't like worrying if my nipples are showing or something lol. I think they're the most comfortable cause they really hug you. And they make my shirts fit better. I don't think they really make my boobs look much bigger, it just lifts them up. And I think calling them false advertising would be really shallow, I mean you KNOW that a girl's boobs aren't naturally round and lifted, if it really fools you then you need a reality check haha.

You said it! My grandma bought me a padded bra years ago because she said they are warmer when winter rolls around. Seriously, unpadded ones feel weird.
+1 yMost of my bras have a little bit of padding I think. I don't know what qualifies as "padded" though. It's more than just a layer of fabric, but they're still pretty thin- they don't act like a cushion, and they don't make my books look any bigger. I don't care for bulky padding, and I don't like push ups either.

+1 yI think it is perfectly fine to wear padded bras, be it big or small breasted. That is what it was meant to be isn't it? What matters is that the bra should be fitting, if it teases a bit, that is already eye candy to me, and I would appreciate a confident girl! so I can't understand how I could have seen the real breast of everyday women and girls on the street, I meant, when you go naked is really only for that very pair of eyes to enjoy and not the public per se. So by all means wear what fits you and make you look good ... But coming back, I am not for a girl who wears padded bras or even bras to bed ... Just not comfy to me...

I don't own any padded bras.
if it makes the girl feel better, I don't think there's anything wrong with it. most guys they encounter that stare at their rack won't exactly get the opportunity to find out they are 'false advertising', so it's whatever.40 Reply
+1 yUh no. I have boobs so I have no use for padding
I think it's tacky cause a lot of girls buy the cheap padded bras and the padding is obvious through the shirt.
False advertisement. A guy who prefers big(ger) boobs could be disappointed to find nothing there when he expected C's or D's20 ReplyI usually wear push up bras daily, but they're not those ridiculous ones like the "miraculous" or whatever that are pretty much 2 inches of padding. The ones I wear add some size, but I don't think it's extreme or really a let down when I have my bra off, haha.
10 ReplyMost of my bras are padded, I think I have 2 that aren't. But I'm also an A cup and if guys were constantly drooling over big boobs I'd buy more without padding, but they do so I don't. Whenever I go out to a bar or something I always wear a padded bra

+1 yI don't wear push-up bras or anything, but it seems that it's impossible to find ANY bras without SOME padding. I guess I do wear bras with sliiiight padding everyday, but I think that's really just for lining? Like, it doesn't really enhance their size, haha.
00 ReplyI HATE bras with not padding. They're too flimsy and don't even hold my boobs in place, let alone any coverage in the nipple area... I wear a push up bra with little padding everyday because my boobs are naturally quite high and I find that the normal ones don't provide enough support. The padding is just because I get cold easily and often :P

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yMine have a little bit of padding just because that makes it more comfortable. It doesn't make it look any different. And I don't wear push-ups. when I was in my teens and my mom still bought me my stuff, she told me to never pick out a push-up bra because when you wear one under the age of 26, it just means your looking to get some. I find it funny that she said this, but I can see why. most young girls don't need their boobs pushed up cause they are too young to have them sagging.

Better safe and larger than natural and pokey.30 Reply
+1 yDespite being gangly thin I have naturally big breasts, 36d, so I wear a bra without lining or padding. I do own a heavily padded bra, but not because I wanted bigger looking breasts but because it is really comfy and soft and pretty. However, I feel better supported with a no lined bra as they are very comfortable and conform to the natural shape of the breast, plus it boosts my self confidence knowing that I have full breasts without a lined bra, :D
00 Replydont need to. I have enough down there (38 C/D cup). any more would be too much. and I do consider it false advertising if your an A cup and now you have B cup coobs

00 ReplyYes i do everyday, except when at the gym lol.
I can't wear bras with no padding because my boobs are on the bigger side, and they're very uncomfortable to me.00 Reply
+1 yMost of my bras have a bit of padding in them, but not so much that my boobs look significantly bigger.
00 ReplyI wear a slightly padded bra as I find them the most comfortable.

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yI like how they feel better, plus you can't see your nipples through your shirt with a padded bra. When they are too padded, they are uncomfortable, though.
