Guys, Why did a guy look at my face four or more times?

I know it's probably been asked a million times, but I saw a guy I had a crush on from college. I haven't seen him in a while and he looked at me at least four or more times. Maybe he was trying to remember me and that's all, but what else can it indicate? He looked slightly nervous also.

Mm well he arrived in a pub and was sitting sort of diagonally from me. He was in the year above me at college I remember seeing him a lot. When he arrived I noticed him looking. And basically anytime I looked at him he would look at me. It was probably five times and then I had to leave. Possibly he was just remembering me or something

Then three possibilities I'd say:
- he's attracted to your face, in a very broad sense, without more thoughts to it
- he's trying to pinpoint your face in his memory
- you're pretty but then it's certainly not the first nor the last guy looking at you several times in a row

Yes , I also touched my neck while I was looking at the ceiling and talking to my friend , I was quite nervous and doing this to soothe myself. He was clearly staring at me when I did this as well🤣

Staring is so tedious to interpret correctly lol, especially when some people stare as a default setting... at everything and everyone 🤷‍♀️

Ok 😭I understand but sometimes you can get an intuition about someone and you know they are deliberately looking at you. Anyway, doesn't matter 🤣

I really can't tell more because I'm not staring at people at all, whatever the circumstances are, my gaze is either scanning a place or being lost in thoughts, and I wouldn't try to make eye contact with strangers because, to me, it would signal them that I'm hostile, I don't want that lol

He probably remembered you but wasn't sure so he was looking to make sure it was you. Or he just liked what he saw
