Why did this guy look at me particularly?

A guy that I used to like and adore a while back. It was me and another group of people. He kept looking at me particularly and said that would never get married ever again if he gets into a divorce. I kept dwelling on it for a while and way later found out he really like me. Like has interest in me. First thing came to my mind if he was to ever marry me and we didn't work out that he wouldn't marry anyone else. I don't know lol. Then at the end he said whoever his future wife will be. And he kept smiling at me.

Yo that's really weird and specific thing for him to say about not getting married again if he divorced. And looking at you and smiling a bunch too? Seems pretty obvious he's got feelings for you again or never really got over you.

Some guys are weird about directly saying they like someone, so he was probably dropping hints and gauging your reaction without putting it all out there. Saying he wouldn't marry again if it didn't work with you is his kinda backwards way of hinting he wants it to be you.

The smiling and eye contact is just because he thinks you're hot and likes seeing your reaction to what he's implying. I'd just play it cool next time but maybe smile and joke back with him a little to show you're interested too. That could encourage him to finally ask you out for real. Then you'll know for sure what's up!

I dont know if you want to get married or not but just know most men talk a lot of shit

for e. g if he knows you want to get married, he can say that just to lure you in without having intentions to do so

Tbh I do desire to get married. And that is true that most men do talk a lot of crap and nonsense. And they don't mean what they say. Especially with their actions. The guy is taken now and married to someone else now. Which I'm totally happy for him
