Hey y'all!! sooo this morning at work ( I work at an daycare) a DAD dropped off his son and after started walking towards me.. well he seen me and immediately started staring at me.. I mean this wasn’t a normal gaze then look away this man stared deep into my soul. It felt like... So of course I smiled at him.. lol and HE didn't SMILE BACK.. so yeah talk about AWKWARD why did he stare deep into my eyes and not smile back?
Update!! This morning we had eye contact definitely longer than seconds AGAIN felt like he was staring into my soul 🤣and he Smiled and said “good morning” to me!! What possibly changed from yesterday lol
Also I’m (F 26) He’s maybe in his late 30s early 40s!!

Whoa girl, that sounds like a super weird and uncomfortable situation with that dad at work! I can totally understand why you'd be feeling all kinds of confused and weirded out by him staring you down like that.
Eye contact can definitely mean a lot of different things, especially when it's coming from a random older guy you barely know. The fact that he was just straight-up glaring at you without even cracking a smile is just plain awkward. Like, dude, what's your deal?
But then the next day, he's all friendly and smiley when you make eye contact? That's even more confusing! Is he trying to be friendly now after the creepy staring yesterday? Or is there some other weird vibe going on?
Honestly, I'd be a little on edge in your shoes too. That kind of intense, unblinking eye contact can feel super invasive, especially in a professional setting like work. I'd definitely keep an eye on the situation (no pun intended) and maybe even mention it to your boss or a coworker you trust, just so they're aware in case it escalates.
Your safety and comfort should be the top priority here. Don't feel bad about shutting down any further creepy behavior, even if he tries to play it off as being "friendly." Trust your gut - if something feels off, it probably is. Just keep being polite but firm in setting those boundaries. You've got this, girl!
