What does this sort of eye contact mean?

I’ve noticed that when I talk with my crush, he will hold strong eye contact and stare into my eyes for a few seconds. Then he will look away for a short period, and keep repeating strong eye contact followed by looking away.

I've also noticed that his eyes will flicker down to my mouth, and that he will look from one of my eyes to the other.

🤔 Sounds totally normal for me.
Being overwhelmed by feelings (good way) makes him calm by looking away, but he actually is there with you which naturally draws his again to lock eyes.. then naturally takes a break and so on.

Assuming the vibe is totally normal as you didn't mention anything else, just don't go over every small detail. Let it just happen.

Unless you're trained for prolonged eye contact or there's such a strong reason/situation, I think that's how we always actually interact with everyone we like everyday. We look, then back off a little.. then back and forth.
The only difference, is that his look is loving/craving and not causual as everyday's.

I tend to do that when speaking with (listening to) women too. I don't think it's STRONG eye contact just look at their face and mouth if I am listening to them.

I thought that was normal.
