Me and him are both freshman, and we’re play fighting the other day, mainly hand touching as I was trying to get a small object out of his hand, + a few hugs and lots of head pats. I accidentally hugged him rough once and he was fine with it.

Play fighting is definitely flirting. It's a subtle way to touch you while not being creepy or inappropriate. He likes you probably a lot from the sound of this and he probably actually liked the rough hug to an extent by the way. When a girl grabs you like that it makes you feel desired.
