Is 'lovely' a frendzone?

So I'm talking to this guy at the moment - the sporty type (American football mostly - imagine the stereotypical fit jock and you've got him). He keeps saying things like 'thank you lovely' or 'good morning lovely', and I cannot tell for the life of me if it's a friendzone or a little bit flirty. Not sure if it's weird to use in a flirty way?

If someone friend zones someone if someone has no likable qualities you wouldn’t even be there. Just some people don’t feel attraction not everyone’s going to be attracted to you and that’s okay it’s better to focus on who does.

But at the end of the day if you really like him you’re going to have to talk to him and ask as well as express interest. You know there are a lot of other women who want him and he has a lot of options sitting waiting around is probably going to end in him finding another girl.

How can an adjective be a "friend-zone"?

If this guy uses this term, then he is obviously trying to flirt with you and ultimately to get into your pants if you leave him.

The term "flirting", by definition means:

"a sexual behavior involving spoken or written communication, as well as body language, by one person to another, to suggest interest in a deeper relationship with the other person".

Now, we all know what is meant and understood by a "deeper relationship", right?

Now, it is up to you to know whether you would like this guy to get into a deeper relationship or if you want to take your distance from this player.
